Borrowed from American English 'okay'. The origin is famously debated, but a popular theory is that it comes from 'oll korrect', a humorous misspelling of 'all correct' from the 1830s.

This is a freebie! It works just like 'okay' in English, both as a confirmation ('Okay, I'll do it') and as an adjective ('The food was okay').
